Heh, we don't really need a website for our purposes since most of the things we do change so frequently, but you could talk to either LBS or Blurr if you were really interested.
To be entirely honest, I don't feel I've learned a lot from the running/build perspective, but I have learned things to make running more efficient, and make better use of my time.
As stated previously, it's also great because it builds a network of business, members in the guild pass customers along if they can't take a run at a particular time and it opens up a lot of opportunity.
I'm sure LBS doesn't need any more wealth, so I highly doubt anyone will be upset with me being perfectly frank here, considering that is the honesty that we preach.
If the following doesn't appeal to you, then you probably don't need LBSRA.
-Shaving minutes off common runs, like Southern Shiverpeaks tours, Droknar's runs, Desert tours etc.
-Strategies/tips/walkthroughs to completing all 3 Ascension missions (hopefully less than 20 minutes for Thirsty/Dunes, and less than 10 for Elona) with 4 hench or fewer.
-A guild community that creates business connections between members by passing runs along, you need to stay in the guild to really benefit from this.
-Pretty flexible in game demonstrations of things you may be having problems with, people are generally fairly helpful:P
LBSRA is really designed to help people who are really interested in running, they want to use it as a primary source of funding for their interests and they spend a lot of time running for profit. It isn't really that beneficial to a casual runner who just runs his/her friends provided that said person is already capable of running. It is good for new players trying to learn to run, but not necessarily that great for experienced players who can already run unless they want to really optimize things.
Personally, I think that if you feel comfortable with your running ability, you probably won't need the LBSRA for running tips/hints/etc, but rather it may be beneficial for you to join for the community involvement instead.
Otherwise, this is probably not the right choice for you
I hope that clarifies things a little.

Sniperz53,
As one of the officers in LBSRA, I think my response will help answer your question
The training doesn't really end. First you start off using the basic build that we provide upon your acceptance into the academy(or your build, if you feel more comfortable with that). On LBSRA we also have training videos for a variety of runs that range from how to sneak like a ninja to how to complete most of the Shiverpeak runs. In addition to this course material, all of the Officers/Grads/Senior Students are willing to watch runs and give comments and suggestions to help you with runs you are having trouble with.
Also, as a guild, we do a lot of testing of builds. If someone has an idea the dish it out to the guild and anyone who wants can test/tweak it. As a result of this we have come up with some very unique ways to rush/solo(hench) through missions and difficult areas. When new builds are created they are posted in the Academy section of the forum and the creator also teaches people in game.
In my personal opinion, I don't think that the training ever stops. I've been in LBSRA since before we had a guild and I still find things that I can work on. Most recently it is soloing THK and the Fire Island missions.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask them here, PM me, or contact me in game on Hanso Togakure or Striker Swiftfoot.
Thanks,
Hanso

Talon, I'm glad to hear about your change of heart. Unfortuantely, we do not offer lessons individually, though you can learn a fair amount by hiring an LBS runner and watching how we tackle a specific run. The real value in the Academy is the aggregation of all the resources and reputation, and that is why we do not offer individual lessons. If you do put together the tuition, we would be honored to review your application.
Sniperz53, you are welcome to apply. I hope your questions were answered to your satisfaction by others here in the thread. I think their answers are excellent. As for designing a template for our website, I'd be the one to contact. Send me a PM and let me know what you do. We have a number of fantastic graphics that have been made for the Academy, but have never really used them much. You can also talk to The Blurr, who has been given very broad discretion with the website.
Capitalist, thanks for that reminder. Have you ever read Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged? If not, I highly recommend it to you as a very philosophically and economically influential book that I'm positive you would enjoy.

Just a quick question guys - how come I can't find your guild in the Guild Wars guild ladder? I've typed in LBS and The Runner's Academy and I always come up with a blank?
I know you must exist - but do you really exist? I mean I would think it was important that your guild is easily trackable when people are considering enroling in your course.
Not exactly confidence-inspiring. Please put my mind at ease...

I believe you have to do GvG to make the guild ladder, as of yet we have not done any GvG matches.

Nothing, just to make LBS more of a "guild" than just a school. Also it's fun =)

They might not have replied because there is a new form of registration now, on the forums at www.lbsra.net there is a special section for applications. You cant read others but you can still post an application. I suggest you respost your application there.

Heh, was helping a guildie through Thirsty and caught LBS and some Nude guild arguing. The Nude people said that some dude named Storm didn't have a forgerunner. He was advertising for himself for 20k using 2 henchies and said that he is "LBSRA certified", they were advertising for a team of 3 for 10k. It was quite funny.
I took a bunch of screenies, need to to crop them properly, paste them together, upload and repost. Aparently, there is a minion master who does Thirsty for 7k now, too. She probably needs the clients' help in getting minions since she was a Necromancer/Elementalist.
After their exchange, I grabbed 4 henchies and we were off and done in 15 minutes. There was no LBS when I returned (wanted to see if they were still going at it).
here's a shot:

EDIT: I saw the screenshot now. Yes, Prince Stormchaser is a graduate of LBSRA and Brutaniu Mason is a officer of the Academy guild (like me).

"Team of 3 for 10k" No one from LBSRA would do that kind of run in thirsty.

Unfortunatelly, your poor english does show through. I'll reword what I said.
When I was in Thirsty, there were 3 groups/people advertising to do the mission.
1. Some minion master who offered to do it for 7k.
2. That Storm guy saying he was LBSRA certified for 20k.
3. That Nude guild who advertised for 10k.
I think one of the Nude people asked to see his forgerunner because then you see some Gloria person who was in the Nude guild advertising, said that he didn't show her the forgerunner. That's pretty much it.
EDIT: the guy's name is Prince Stormchaser.
EDIT2: well, how can someone check if he is? when you have many people on a forum, browing the user groups is not that simple.
EDIT3: Isn't LBS supposed to accept the graduates and give them the customized bow right then and there?

My "poor" english is sometimes a little off, when I read forums at 02:30 AM
I'm going to talk to LBS about updating the certified list on first page. I would love to do it, if I could.

The forgerunner bows aren't dropping everyday in SF. So we're buying everyone we see in game or on guru to save for
further graduates.

Hmm...I'm tempted to not spend my cash on my 4th set of armor (2nd 15k) for my Warrior, and get ecto instead. But 2 sets of 15k would be nice, especially since I used the wrong runes on the 1st set. We'll see, I might join, but I'm still weighing up whether I want to spend that much cash.
